Note: The Jets ended their mentors trip last night in Arizona as the top team in the NHL as they maintained that spot by virtue of their 6-2 victory over the Coyotes. They’ve won six games in a row and have points in 12 straight games (10-0-2) during a remarkable run that began back on December 13th when they went into Los Angeles and defeated the Kings in the second game of a back-to-back. Also they are 7-0-1 since the dulcet tones of Saxophone Squirtle began to serenade this team to victory. The team is off today.

Note II: The AHL club of Manitoba is not quite as fortunate as the NHL club of Winnipeg these days with the Moose losing in disappointing fashion yesterday afternoon dropping a 2-1 decision to the Senators. The game was tied 1-1 late but a penalty with 1:37 left in the 3rd led to a Belleville power play goal with 1:08 left in the game and ultimately to the fourth straight loss. They are off today and will head out on the road for three games.

Winnipeg Sun: Scariest thing about first-place Winnipeg Jets is they could actually be even better. While the special teams have improved of late, if they could get their PP/PK to around league average, it would probably be quite am impact on a team that is playing unbelievable 5 on 5 hockey.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets stay on top of NHL with dominant win over Coyotes. Scott gives you his thoughts on the win by Winnipeg as they wrapped up their three game roadtrip.
