Note: The Jets and their mentors were off on Saturday enjoying some golf and relaxation time after the club swept both games in California to start the road trip. With it being a gameday all eyes will be on morning skate which gets underway at 10:30 AM CST. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. After suffering a punctured lung and fractured rib on Nov. 18, Rutger McGroarty’s status for the World Juniors was in doubt. But the Winnipeg Jets prospect returned just in time and led Team USA to “sweet” revenge against Sweden. “He got better and better as the tournament went on,” said coach David Carle. “It says a lot about who he is as a person.”
