Note: The Jets and their mentors were off on Saturday enjoying some golf and relaxation time after the club swept both games in California to start the road trip. With it being a gameday all eyes will be on morning skate which gets underway at 10:30 AM CST. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 6 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and Arizona, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game.

Note III: The Moose suffered a disappointing third straight loss on Saturday as they tried to comeback against the Senators but were unable to get the job done falling 3-1 to Belleville. These two clubs have a re-match this afternoon at 2 PM CST.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: It’s been a remarkable turnaround as Jets move into first place overall in NHLAs Ted writes there is still a lot of season left but he isn’t incorrect that most folks were rather ‘meh’ on the 2023-24 Jets and not many were expecting this sort of trajectory for the club.

Illegal Curve Hockey Show: Saturday Podcast. On yesterday’s show we discussed the Jets week that was, Winnipeg sitting in top spot in the NHL after Friday, the continued fallout of the Friendly Manitoba/Minnesota Nice rivalry and the strong play of the 4th line/MAD line and previewing the Jets/Coyotes. We spoke with Jeff Hamilton of the Winnipeg Free Press and Frank Corrado of TSN.

Jets prospect video:

TSN: Jets prospect McGroarty led Team USA to revenge with smile on his face. After suffering a punctured lung and fractured rib on Nov. 18, Rutger McGroarty’s status for the World Juniors was in doubt. But the Winnipeg Jets prospect returned just in time and led Team USA to “sweet” revenge against Sweden. “He got better and better as the tournament went on,” said coach David Carle. “It says a lot about who he is as a person.”
