Note: The Jets picked up an impressive third straight victory last night when they went into Denver and took it by a final score of 4-2. They are off today.

Note II: The Moose left for Calgary on Thursday morning followed by a practice in Alberta as they get set for a two-game set against the Wranglers this weekend.

Global News: Plan comes together in Jets’ mile-high win against Colorado. We do call these measuring stick games for a reason and I agree with John. Rolling the four lines definitely seemed like a winning strategy given how fast that game was played.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets earn elite status with impressive win over Avs. Scotty B using a word out of the Drew Mindell vocab when he says ‘Elite’. Of course defeating the top team in your division can earn a team that sort of moniker. 

Winnipeg Sun: Kyle Connor scores twice as Jets down Colorado Avalanche to begin road trip.  Shortly after he cooled down, 81 is red-hot again and back in the conversation for top goal scorer in the NHL sitting second behind Brock Boeser who has one more than him at 18.

Winnipeg Free Press: Hellebuyck, Connor power Jets past Avs 4-2 in Central Division showdown. (Paywall). Mike was inside Ball Arena and files this report on the game.

Denver Post: Mistakes, sputtering power play cost Avalanche against Jets. Not getting a goal on the 5 on 3 was a big factor in last night’s game.

The Rod Pederson Show: Have the Winnipeg Jets hit their stride? Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet joined Rod Pedersen for some Jets talk. Discussion begins with some talk about this team being “for real”. Conversation moved to the Jets being a fast team, relationship with former coach Paul Maurice and it being a measuring stick game against the Avalanche.
