Note: Most of the Jets were in Arizona for practice on Monday although some remained in Minnesota for the Adam Johnson celebration of life before joining their teammates in Missouri. With it being a gameday all eyes will be on morning skate which gets underway at 11:30 AM CST. All the relevant news will be posted in the pre-game report so check back for that. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.

Note II: This evening, after the final buzzer sounds between Winnipeg and St. Louis, we want you to be part of the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show as we discuss and analyze the results of the game.

Note III: The Moose were off on Monday following a disappointing weekend series against the IceHogs which saw them get swept by their Central Division rivals. They will hit the ice for practice at hockey for all centre this morning as they prepare to face the Laval Rocket this weekend in Winnipeg.

Note IV: Former Ice head coach James Patrick has a new gig as the Manitoban is back behind the bench as head coach of the Victoria Royals.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: What would a Nino Niederreiter extension look like? Scott keeps adding details to the story he broke and his latest looks at what sort of deal folks might see.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets look to end road trip on winning note against surging Blues. (Paywall). Should be an interesting test against a St. Louis team that doesn’t score nearly as many goals as the Jets but also doesn’t give up nearly as many goals. In fact both teams are sitting with a minus three goal differential.

Winnipeg Free Press: Declan Chisholm prepared and positive. (Paywall). The problem with the conditioning stint is that the Moose are in the stretch of the season where they are playing games on weekends so he won’t get a big stretch of games in a row. But I still think getting him into a few games to get him some game reps would serve him well while he is waiting for his shot to play in the NHL.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Jets goal prevention issues? Upgrading the roster? Mailbag. (Paywall). You had questions and Murat has answers.

Global News: Winnipeg Jets need more Nino Niederreiter in their future. Kelly reacts to the news that Niederreiter was looking for an extension in Winnipeg.
