Note: The Jets season is over but the content is not. Today is the final day of player media availability (it is uncertain if GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and head coach Rick Bowness will speak today or tomorrow). Stay tuned to illegalcurve.com for complete coverage of all things related to the NHL team of Winnipeg.

Note II: The Moose did not get the 2022-23 post-season off on the right skate as they found themselves down 3-0 before the opening period had even hit the midpoint. They stemmed the bleeding and even got one back to start the middle frame but couldn’t sustain that effort and the visitors ran away with it by a final score of 6-2. Gives Milwaukee a 1-0 edge in the best of five series. Today Manitoba is scheduled to practice ahead of tomorrow’s game 2 matinee.

Note III: On a positive note for Winnipeg based hockey teams the Ice took a 1-0 series lead over the Blades with a 3-0 game 1 win last night. They outshot Saskatoon 27-16 and got goals from Zloty, Ostapchuk (SH penalty shot) & Lambos. Game 2 is this afternoon at Wayne Fleming Arena. Puck drop is at 4 PM CDT.

Note IV:  Join us this morning at 9 AM CDT on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show for two+ hours Jets talk as we do our 2022-23 post-mortem. We will be joined by Cameron Poitras of CJOB 680 and former NHLer turned TSN analyst Marty Biron.
