Note: The Jets played their first game of their first round series with the Golden Knights last night in Vegas which saw the visitors dominate for almost the full 60 minutes as they picked up a 5-1 win to take a 1-0 series lead. They are scheduled to practice today so stay tuned for the Playoff Practice Report.

Note II: The Moose were off on Tuesday as they get rest while they await the start of their upcoming series against the Admirals which doesn’t start until Friday, April 28th. They did get Jets prospect Dmitry Kuzmin who was reassigned by the parent club from the Firebirds of the OHL to the AHL. He will be on the ice for practice today with Manitoba so stay tuned for the Playoff Practice Report.

Note III: The Ice played game 3 last night in Moose Jaw against the Warriors which they lost 8-4 and puts them down in the series 2-1. This is the first bit of adversity for the local WHL club in the playoffs after they swept their round one series. They look to get even in game 4 which goes tonight at 8 PM CDT.

Note IV: Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert had a SIX POINT night for Seattle in an 8-1 win last evening. Wow. Lambert had 1G 5A (4 primary) and was named 1st Star of the Game. He sits tied for 3rd in WHL playoff scoring (2G 13A) and missed two games with illness.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ Barron returns to game after getting cut by skate blade for 75-plus stitches. When they said he was returning I suspect, like me, you felt like it was 5-10 but to get over 70 stitches is just unreasonable.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets draw first blood in 5-1 win over Vegas. (Paywall). A somewhat ironic headline given Morgan Barron’s face but yes it was Winnipeg who comes away with a somewhat unexpected victory. Not because they won but because of how they won it.

Winnipeg Free Press: Barron gives Jets boost after return from scary injury. (Paywall). When the broadcast indicated he would require 77 stitches it is somewhat a hard number to fathom.
