Note: The Jets absolutely needed two points in last night’s re-match with the Oilers after a disappointing effort on Friday night and given their record of late. Despite experiencing deja vu Winnipeg and Edmonton battled as if the game was being played in the 1980s which the home team won off a Josh Morrissey blast with 1.2 seconds left in the 2nd period with the final score being 7-5 in favour of the Jets. In total these two teams combined for 21 goals in two games within a 24 hour period of time. They are off today.

Note II: After having a goalie goal scored against them on Friday night the Moose practiced on Saturday as they look to earn a split in their two-game set with the Wolves. This is the final game of their eight-game homestand which has seen them only lose one time in regulation. Today they will be wearing their WASAC jerseys which are unbelievable. Puck drop is at 2 PM.

Note III: The Ice concluded their 10-game road trip with a big 8-3 win over the Wheat Kings in Brandon which saw the team ultimately finish it off at 8-2-0. They have nine games remaining in the regular season with all but two to be played in Winnipeg. Next up will be the Tigers of Medicine Hat on Tuesday.
