Note: Jets announce that Larry Simmons has been named Assistant General Manager. He spent last year as Assistant to the General Manager. Simmons was the Vice-President/Assistant General Manager with the Thrashers from 2004 until the team’s move to Winnipeg prior to last year.

Windsor this week: A “little” motivation for Wellwood. Appears that Wellwood is enjoying his summer and is motivated to have a big season next year for the Jets.
