Jets official site:  TNSE extends affiliation with St. John’s through 2014-15.  No big shocker here.

Jets official site:  Agree to terms with Maxime Macenauer.  A minor league signing.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets free agent likely to sign with Russian team.  Hopefully he gets more minutes playing a role with a KHL squad than he did with the Jets.

Winnipeg Sun:  Flood signs with Lokomotiv Yaroslal in KHL.  A really nice guy who obviously saw the writing on the wall.  Wish him the best in the KHL.

CBA news:

CSN Washington: NHL, players have a lot of work to do.  We are roughly 7 weeks away from the September 15th deadline and despite the NHLPA offering to play without a contract (similar to what the MLB players did in 1994) it is resolution or bust for the league.

NHL news:

Dearborne Press & Guide:  Wings won’t overpay for free agents.  The mantra of GM Ken Holland has been pretty successful so far.  We shall see how this roster does without Lidstrom.
