Note: The Winnipeg Jets got social media buzzing with a Wednesday morning tweet which indicated they’d have more to say at 13:27 which most folks added up to equal Teemu Selanne and Teppo Numinen. In the early afternoon it was confirmed that the Finnish duo will be inducted into the Jets Hall of Fame.
Note II: Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet is running his monthly mailbag which remains open for bit longer (scheduled to run on Friday). So if you’ve got a burning Jets question hit him via DM or send an email to kenjr@shaw.ca or wiebesworld9@gmail.com.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Teemu and Teppo, together again in Jets Hall. Makes a lot of sense to have these two be inducted into the Jets Hall of Fame given that every fan in Manitoba was inside Winnipeg Arena to saw Teemu score the goal to break Mike Bossy’s record and Teppo was a stay at home defenceman that didn’t get a lot of recognition outside of this market but most folks saw him as an invaluable piece of the backend.
TSN: Grading every NHL team’s goaltending depth. Jets fans will be happy to see that in this area the team is still ranked as elite courtesy of this guy.
theScore: Scheifele excited for fresh start with Jets after rocky season. The time for chatter about this subject is over I suspect and now it will be time to see what this club can do on the ice.
