Note: The search for a head coach continues for the Winnipeg Jets although on Thursday night it narrowed to one according to Kevin Weekes down to Rick Tocchet. Will it be a Canada Day surprise? Update: It will indeed be a surprise as Darren Dreger is reporting that the next head coach in Winnipeg will be a familiar one to Jets 1.0 fans as Rick Bowness (both a player and coach in the original era) will reportedly be the third bench boss since relocation.

Note II: The attention (aside from that devoted to the Jets head coaching search) has switched to the 2022 NHL Draft which takes place in Montreal on Thursday July 7th (Round 1) and Friday July 8th (Rounds 2-7). A reminder that the Jets have two 1st round picks (14th overall and 30th overall), one 2nd round pick, one 3rd round pick, one 6th round pick and one 7th round pick.

Note III: It has been another newsy week in Jetsland and with the NHL Draft coming up next week it will make for a busy Illegal Curve Hockey Show tomorrow morning. Be sure to join us on our YouTube channel starting at 9 AM. We will be joined by Chris Peters of DailyFaceoff to talk about the draft.
