Note: The Jets had some players in action in Finland at the World Championship on Friday. Most notable was Pierre-Luc Dubois who was named player for the game for Team Canada as they defeated Germany and he finished with two goals and one assist.
Note II: The Moose and Admirals decided that facing each other 16 times, which was what last night’s game 4 of their playoff series totaled (when you add the 12 regular season meetings) wouldn’t be enough and that they should do it one more time. Manitoba got contributions across the board as they had seven different goal scorers (Barron, Polei, Jones, Heinola, Chisholm, Eyssimont & Johnson) in their 7-3 win over Milwaukee to force game 5 which will be played on Sunday at 2 PM here in Winnipeg which will be the 17th and final meeting between these two squads and determine the winner who will proceed to the Central Division Finals. We’ve got 8 tickets in the Illegal Curve Zone for giveaway so send me a DM if you wanna be entered into a draw for free tickets to go to the game!
Note III: The Ice picked up a big 6-3 win at the Ice Cave in game 5 of their second round series with the Warriors which sees them eliminate Moose Jaw with their 4-1 series win. They will now face their arch-rival Edmonton in the Eastern Conference Final.
Note IV: Be sure to join us on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show today at 9 AM on our YouTube channel and social media platforms. We will be joined by Sean Reynolds of Sportsnet and Adam Kimelman of NHL.com.
