Note: The Jets four-game homestand began with them blowing a four goal lead but ultimately winning that game and has sputtered ever since including an OT loss on Friday followed by a disappointing 4-1 regulation loss on Sunday to the Rangers. They have one game remaining where they could earn two point coming up on Tuesday against the two time defending Stanley Cup  champion Lightning. Jets schedule for the week isn’t out but if they practice today stay tuned for the Jets Practice Report.

Note II: There was a health update on Sunday as Jets interim head coach Davie Lowry indicated that defenceman Nate Beaulieu will be out “longer than day to day”.

Note III: The Moose were off on Sunday after finished up a two-game series sweep of the IceHogs on Saturday afternoon. Today they are scheduled to practice at 6 PM out at Camp Manitou as part of their Moose Community Practice series.

Note IV: If you wanna get up-to-date on the Winnipeg Ice be sure to check out our Ice Chips feature later this morning. It will get you all caught up from the week that was for the local WHL team. Update: You can read it here.

Jets news:

Sportsnet: Jets’ inconsistency no match for Shesterkin’s brilliance. Sometimes you gave to tip your cap to a goalie who is exceptional.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets running out of time to right ship after loss to RangersWhile the teams ahead of Winnipeg aren’t exactly running away with things the fact is that all these points they are leaving behind are catching up and they don’t have much of a margin for error left.

Winnipeg Free Press: Shesterkin stonewalls Jets. (Paywall). The Jets may have doubled the shots that the Rangers had but they didn’t create they only had a few more high-danger chances and ultimately the difference in the game was that New York was able to make Winnipeg pay for mistakes they made.

Newsday: Chris Kreider scores twice as Rangers beat Jets, kick off trip with third straight win. Read about the game from the perspective of a writer that covers the Jets opponent.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Kevin Cheveldayoff’s ‘Plan A’ for Jets isn’t supported by the standings. All he can do is wait and hope. (Paywall). Not exactly a headline that instilled confidence in fans I would suspect. Read Murat’s latest.
