Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note: The Jets practiced on Saturday but as per usual interim head coach Dave Lowry was tight-lipped about his roster for today’s concluding game of the four-game road trip. With it being an afternoon contest no morning skate but you can still check out the pre-game report to get our 411 ahead of the game. Note II: The Moose have hit a bit of a skid which includes dropping a 5-1 decision yesterday to the Wolves. Today they look to earn a split with Chicago in the Cole Perfetti bobblehead game. Puck drop is at 2 PM.

Note III: Oops he did it again. Somewhat similar goal last night as the one Jets 2018 3rd rounder Nathan Smith scored on Friday. Quick hands by the prospect to find the back of the net. Remains tied for 2nd in NCAA scoring (17G 27A 44PTS in 30GP). See the goal here.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets’ lack of consistency even has captain stumped. I can simplify it….they don’t score more goals than the other team.

Winnipeg Free Press: Wheeler short on answers. (Paywall). Much seems to be made of the interaction between Jeff and the captain but it didn’t really seem all that significant.

The Athletic Winnipeg: Who says no? Jets hypothetical Andrew Copp trades to Avalanche, Bruins, Maple Leafs, Oilers and more. (Paywall). The trade deadline is still aways away but that doesn’t meant the trade talk isn’t still a thing. Murat delves into the most interesting name on the Winnipeg roster.
