Note: The Jets may have held an optional practice on Tuesday but if the media were stuck in Calgary and aren’t there to cover it, did it really happen? Seems it didn’t since there was nothing from the team in terms of info yesterday. Today is a new day and Winnipeg has got to get back in the win column against divisional opponent Dallas. Morning skate  at 10:30 AM so check out the pre-game report to get the full 411 ahead of the game. Puck drop which is at 6:30 PM and following the final buzzer we want you to join the conversation on the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show.

Note II: The Moose and Admirals will do battle tonight to see who wins the rubber match with each side taking a game on Sunday/Monday. Puck drop is at 7 PM.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets a puzzle with pieces missing. Given how things have gone for St. Louis and Calgary with all the difficulties they’ve had to deal with it is hard to hear anything referenced as justification for a poor season. Of course having said that it wouldn’t hurt to have some players back in the fold sooner rather than later….

Dallas Morning News: Games against Winnipeg, Nashville should tell us more about who the post-break Stars are. It isn’t just the local NHL club which is having an existential crisis about their identity. 

NESN: ESPN believes Jets’ Andrew Copp fits bill as Bruins trade deadline rental. The team still has quite a bit of time before they have to determine if they are buyers or sellers but that doesn’t stop the vultures from circling the corpse. Although right now that corpse is more Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail “not dead yet” scene.
