Note: The Jets and Oilers played a very entertaining hockey game last night which was ultimately won by Edmonton in the shootout. No rest for Winnipeg as they are in Vancouver today for a game against the Canucks to wrap up this quick two games in two days road trip. Puck drop is at 9 PM CT.
Note II: The Moose kicked off their five-game homestand last night with an impressive 6-2 win over the Admirals. Lots of prospect news as 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti scored his fourth goal of the season, 2019 1st rounder Ville Heinola didn’t score on this play but it is worth checking out, 2018 2nd rounder David Gustafsson scored two goals (here & here). These two teams will be back in action tonight at 7 PM.
Jets news:
Sportsnet: Jets’ mini-series vs. Oilers provides important answers to pressing questions. Ken provides his thoughts after Winnipeg went head to head with Edmonton the last two games.
Winnipeg Sun: Connor McDavid spectacular again as Oilers beat Jets in shootout. He isn’t the best player in the world by accident.
Winnipeg Sun: Dubois resurgence key to Jets’ early success. Having centre depth is what the Jets wanted when they acquired him from Columbus and that’s exactly what he’s brought this season to Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Free Press: Hellebuyck stands tall but Jets fall short in 2-1 shootout loss to Oilers. (Paywall). It really was a shame the game had to end by shootout.
Edmonton Sun: Skinner sensational in Edmonton Oilers victory over Jets. What a performance by the Oilers netminder. Sensational is the right word!
Sportsnet: ‘It’s surreal, right?’: McDavid dazzles again in playoff-like Oilers win. He’s scored two goals of the year already this season.
