Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets’ expert forecasts potential for growth.  When you are attempting to project 17 and 18 year old kids, it can be really difficult, which is why teams use every advantage they have in trying to determine future potential.

Jets official site:  NHL Scouting Combine Day 2.  The Jets Kristi Hennessy was on site and got a chance to see an inside look at the Scouting Combine from Toronto.

Stanley Cup news:

L.A. Times:  For Kings’ Jonathan Quick, it’s wow and again.  The young netminder has been simply sensational and has thrust himself into the lead as the Conn Smythe favourite.

L.A. Times:  Yes, this Kings run is real, now breathe.  These Kings have fans in Southern California forgetting all about the tough Finals loss in 1993 as they continue to embrace and celebrate this group of young guns who have taken the playoffs by storm. The goal by Drew Doughty which gave the Kings a 1-0 lead in Game 2 will likely be on many highlight reels this week.

Star-Ledger:  For Devils, Martin Brodeur’s brilliance not quite enough.  When you score just 1 goal per game, there cannot be much of an expectation that you are going to win the game.  The Hall of Fame netminder for the Devils is doing his part and he needs his teammates to step up and start handling their business of scoring.

Star-Ledger:  Can the Devils even escape from Los Angeles?   The good news is the games have been tight and could just as easily be 2-0 New Jersey.  The Devils are going to need to sweep in Hollywood if they have any hope of salvaging the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals.
