Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  The Jets cancelled practice on Friday after a pair of back-to-back games as they look to conserve energy during this condensed season. They hit the ice this morning in Edmonton (12:30 PM CDT) for morning skate as they conclude this two-game set with the Oilers.  Stay tuned for the pre-game report which will provide any lineup updates as well as the media availability which follows skate. Note II:  The Moose were also off on Friday as they continue to practice ahead of their re-start on March 25th.  Today they hit the ice at 11 AM CDT for a skate.

Winnipeg Sun: Ekholm trade the one to make for Jets’ GM Cheveldayoff. Another good read from Scott on what is ahead of the Jets with the trade deadline fast approaching next month. Is it time for the Jets to shoot their shot? 

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets could be allowed live fans. (Paywall). The Jets email to season ticket holders this week didn’t seem to get much notice but I though it was significant when I saw that they mentioned fans for this season.

Sportsnet: Jets confident in ability to regroup after off-night for top guns vs. Oilers. This team hasn’t had a problem bouncing back after a loss this season.
