Note II:  According to the various hockey insiders last night the NHL and NHLPA have reached a tentative deal on a 56-game season. Training camp would begin (tentatively) on January 3rd with the season to get underway on January 13th.  There’s a plan for an expanded roster of 4-6 on a taxi squad.  Lots still to come on all fronts.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun: All-Canadian division not all it’s cracked up to be.  Don’t count Paul as someone who is frothing at the mouth to watch the seven Canadian teams duke it out this season.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  How Neal Pionk became a power play force in his debut Jets season.  (Paywall).  That is some significant company that the Jets blueliner finds himself with and Murat heads to the video room to check out the how and why.

Global News: Veteran broadcasters Paul Edmonds, Jamie Thomas to call Winnipeg Jets games.  Congrats to both of these guys. Sorry to see Paul leave our station but I am happy that he will continue to be the voice of the Jets on radio.
