Jets news:

Hockey’s Future:  Numerous Jets prospects benefiting from extended AHL playoffs.  While not the deepest team of prospects the Jets do have some good core players for the future.

Winnipeg Free Press:  He’s making a list…But Jets GM is checking his draft plan way more than twice.  Last year the Jets went off the board when they selected Mark Scheifele.  Will they go the conventional route this year?

Stanley Cup news:

L.A. Times:  Kings take 2-0 series lead over Coyotes.  The Jeff Carter show last night was worth the price of admission as both he and Jonathan Quick gave the Kings a stranglehold on the series. 

Arizona Republic:  Coyotes routed by Kings in Game 2.  You cannot be that undisciplined and expect to win the game.  The Yotes were uncharacteristic in their penalty taking and as a result lost the game 4-0.  Here are some stats from NHL.com which doesn’t bode well for Coyotes fans;

Teams have trailed 2-0 in a best-of-seven series a total of 291 times and have come back to win the series on 37 occasions or just 12.7% of the time.

New York Daily News:  McDonagh is looking like a Blueshirt bargain.  Where would this team be if they still had Scott Gomez on the team?

Star-Ledger:  Devils also block shots but with a different philosophy than Rangers.  The Devils are going to have to pick it up in Game 2 if they want to head back to the Swamp with a split.
