Jets news:

Sportsnet: Jets find themselves at crossroads over Patrik Laine’s future. Now that headline seems a lot less aggressive (see two below) but yet still conveys to the reader that the situation is significant.  As it pertains to the substance of the article Ken weighs in on the thing most hockey fans in Manitoba are discussing right now.

Winnipeg Sun:  Latest in Laine saga leaves tough questions, few answers.  With Twitter all stirred up last night over the story below Scott attempts to make some sense of it all.

TSN:  Laine, Jets remain poised to part ways.  I’m not sure why Laine’s agents would be adding any fuel to this fire because it could put the Jets into a weaker bargaining position with other NHL teams and therefore less likely to deal Laine for scraps.  Also the headline is a bit aggressive for my taste. Lastly, it seems to be odd timing given the Jets acquisition of a centre for the 2nd line….but what do I know.
