The Athletic:  NHL awards for the 2019-20 season. (Paywall). Still not sure if these will be handed out but if they are the Athletic folks are certainly behind Connor Hellebuyck for Vezina.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Forever Champions.  (Paywall).  Time to get in the time machine and travel back 40 years for some WHA nostalgia.

Jets audio:

The Athletic Winnipeg:  The Boarding Pass.  Winnipeg native and former NHL’er Trevor Kidd joins Murat and Ken to discuss the new normal and how all three of them are coping and keeping busy with their families during self isolation.  The Jets Analyst and the Boarding Pass team also talk hockey as the Jets were poised to make a run for a playoff spot when the NHL season was paused. The boys praise the Vezina type season for Connor Hellebuyck, the dynamic Connor shares with his goalie partner Laurent Brossoit and how the goaltending position has evolved.   Plus, the guys ask Kidder about his famed checker board pads, his junior hockey career, winning the Memorial Cup in Spokane and playing with Eddie Belfour in Toronto. Fear not Boarding Pass followers, Kidder will be back on the Pod, in the future as we get through self isolation together!
