The Athletic Winnipeg: How 10 bold preseason predictions are holding up in March.  It feels a tad early to already be reflecting on the 2019-20 season but with the season on a pause Ken and Murat look back at the predictions they made while wearing prognostication hats (no evidence either wore the aforementioned hat) back in October.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  With the NHL paused, what comes next for the Jets?  (Paywall). Murat takes a  look at what this pause means for the players, what it means for the schedule, how might the playoffs work, what happens to the 11 UFAs, the draft/draft lottery and finally a look at the salary cap.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Hellebuyck a force to be reckoned with in Winnipeg net.  (Paywall). Obviously we have a bit of a bias since here in this market as we watch Hellebuyck more than other players who are vying for the Hart but I fail to see anyone else who has been more valuable to their team than the Jets netminder.

TSN: Handing out MVP awards to the seven Canadian teams.  There is no doubt who he picks for Winnipeg.

TSN:  No immediate plans, focus right now is being a good example for self-isolation.  NHL commissioner Gary Bettman joined ESPN’s Get Up! to give an update on the league, explaining that they want to be respectful of the Stanley Cup history, but the short term focus is setting a good example to self-isolate and keeping everyone safe. He will be exploring different options once he has been informed that it will be safe to resume play, but for now safety is the main focus.
