The Hockey News:  One-on-one with Mark Scheifele (video).  THN’s Ryan Kennedy caught up with the Jets budding star in the midst of the Colts’ playoff drive.

Winnipeg Sun:  You be the boss.  The Sun put the fans in the driver seat and asked them how they would move this team forward.  Over 1700 participants later these are the results.  Cannot say I’m overly surprised at the list the fans would like to jettison.  Hopefully for Mark Scheifele, the poll was conducted before Sean Couturier went on a tear in Friday’s Flyers/Penguins game.

Caps Official Page:  IceCaps stymied by Falcons.  The Caps had little to play for last night and fell to a Springfield team that will miss their 7th consecutive playoffs.  St. John’s finishes the regular season today against the Monarchs, who will need to win to clinch a post-season birth.  Good news is the Caps will finally learn where they are playing the first two games of the 1st Round.

General NHL & Hockey news:

Globe and Mail:  Canada defeats U.S. for women’s world hockey crown.  Many were suggesting that the Canadian women were a step behind their U.S. counterparts, as they have not won gold since 2007 and had been smoked by this U.S. team 9-2 to open the tournament.  A late goal by Canada sent the game to OT, where Caroline Ouellette scored the winner.

TSN:  Busy hearing schedule ahead for Shanahan in coming days.  Something was in the air last night as a number of the games had a significant level off chippyness.
