Day 5 Free Agency Recap:  Yesterday was the deadline for players with salary arbitration. Three Jets RFAs were eligible but just Andrew Copp and Neal Pionk will proceed in this manner.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets Copp, Pionk file for arbitration.  The big (and only) Jets news on Friday.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets’ Copp, Pionk opt for salary arbitration.  (Paywall).  This certainly wasn’t unexpected.

NBC Sports: How will Winnipeg Jets fill out their roster? Questions abound as free agency is well under way.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Winnipeg’s midsummer depth chart suggests growing pains in 2019-20.  (Paywall).  The biggest concern for this Jets team is organizational depth.  Murat takes a look under the hood to see what is there.

Sportsnet:  Making a case for Patrik Laine as next RFA to sign offer sheet.  NHL insider David Pagnotta discusses the latest news on two other very significant RFAs in Brayden Point and Patrik Laine, saying Point very focused on re-signing in Tampa, but Laine definitely willing to explore other options.
