Note:  The Jets practiced at the University of Pennsylvania on Sunday as they prepared for tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers to kick off the post All-Star game portion of the season (Puck drop 6 pm CT).  While the team from the city of brotherly love isn’t sitting too high in the standings (14th in the East) they had won their previous three straight games before the Player & All-Star breaks.  The pre-game report will get you set up with AM skate that gets underway at 10:30 am.

Note II:  The Moose are enjoying some down time as the AHL All-Star break is underway.  The lone representative for Manitoba is Logan Shaw who is taking part in festivities tonight in Springfield, Massachusetts.  The good news for the AHL squad is since they hit the “reset” button post-Christmas the team has gone 8-3-1-2. Still a climb to get back into the playoff picture but the team is trending in the right direction.

Jets news:

The Athletic Winnipeg: Mark Stone and the Jets are a good fit — but is the price to acquire him too steep? Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets’ final stretch to test endurance, resilience.  (Paywall).  It is certainly going be a grind over the coming weeks but the Jets know they have to ramp up their game to be ready for the playoffs.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Laine recharged and ready after NHL All-Star break.  (Paywall).  Getting number 29 heated up again would certainly be a good thing for the Jets.
