Note: The Jets are getting healthier as the team reassigned Nelson Nogier back to the Manitoba Moose on Thursday. At practice yesterday Head Coach Paul Maurice spoke about Byfuglien, Morrissey, Kulikov and Copp as possibilities depending on what happens today at morning skate. Be sure to check out the Jets pre-game report as the team kicks off the four-game home stand starting with the St.Louis Blues tonight at 7 pm.
Note II: The Moose learned they got back Nelson Nogier who was reassigned late in the afternoon on Thursday and they may get another D man back depending on what we learn at Jets AM skate. Manitoba is back in action as well as they continue their California road trip with a back to back starting tonight against the Heat in Stockton. Puck drop is at 9 pm.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Jets gameday vs Blues. Paul’s big matchup is Patrik Laine vs Jake Allen. His five keys to the game include: 1) Who’s in, who’s out? 2) Avoid the post-road letdown. 3) Keeping the focus on D. 4) Give ’em the Blues. 5) Goalie’s groove.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets Snapshots. Paul’s article includes: 1) Byfuglien not talking, but looks recovered from concussion. 2) Kulikov rues hard-luck injury 3) Maurice sees ‘maturing’ Jets 4) There’s nothing like a comeback win.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets visit a thrill for kids at rehabilitation centre. (Paywall). One of the best things these athletes can do is spend time with kids who are in desperate need for a smile and they give them memories that last a long, long time.
Winnipeg Free Press: Kulikov nearing (another) return. (Paywall). It has to be an incredibly difficult season for the Jets veteran blueliner after what was an already frustrating first season in Winnipeg.
The Athletic Winnipeg: A third of the way through their season, the Jets get their report cards. (Paywall). Murat gets out his grading pen (I wonder if it’s red or blue or maybe another colour) and gives the players his assessments.
