Note: The Jets were back on the ice on Sunday for a 45 minute practice followed by media availability (Wheeler, Laine, Lowry, Petan and coach Maurice). Today they have the day off as they try to get back into Winnipeg mode ahead of Friday’s game with Colorado. While the team is off they do expect to hear suspension news regarding Brendan Lemieux who has a phone hearing with the Department of Player Safety this afternoon. (Update: Lemieux was given a two-game suspension).
Note II: The Moose didn’t practice on Sunday but they did spend a few hours with their fans at the Assiniboine Park Zoo. Today they will be on the ice at 10 AM as they prepare to close out this four-game home stand with a pair of games on Thursday and Saturday against Grand Rapids.

Winnipeg Free Press: Petan glad to have skating legs back after tragedy. (Paywall). He is likely going to get his best chance to make some noise as he will be in the lineup with Lemieux likely to be suspended later this afternoon.
