Note:  What a homecoming for Patrik Laine as the Jets sniper helped his club to a 4-2 win to kick start the Global Series against the Panthers on Thursday courtesy of the fifth hat trick of his career.  There isn’t much time to enjoy the win as both teams will be back at it today with a 1 pm CT puck drop at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland to conclude the Global Series.  Jets coach Paul Maurice confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck will start while also announcing some lineup changes including Nic Petan making his season debut.

Note II:  The Moose returned home on Wednesday having won two of three on their most recent road trip and going back to the four-game homestand having won five of their last seven games.  With Eric Comrie up with the Jets as a non-roster player the Moose have relied upon rookie Mikhail Berdin who was excellent in his first couple of AHL games picking up back-to-back wins.  Tonight’s game with the Chicago Wolves at Bell MTS Place (7 pm puck drop) will be the first of four at home for Manitoba.
