Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Kevin Cheveldayoff digging for gold late in second round and beyond. (Paywall). The Jets have shown the ability to find diamonds in the rough and for a team that is primarily going to be reliant on drafting and developing it is important to continue to find the Hellebuyck, Niku and Appleton types late in the draft.
Winnipeg Sun: Stastny not out of Jets picture, yet. There was some buzz on Tuesday when Andy Strickland who is the rinkside reporter for Fox Sports Midwest indicated “Hearing Paul Stastny eventual destination starts with Winnipeg and Colorado at the top of the list (in no particular order)”.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets in tough in Vegas. Nice to be nominated but it does seem likely the Jets will leave Vegas without any hardware.
