Note:  The Jets were off on Wednesday and all was silent from the team aside from the news that they had recalled Eric Comrie from the Moose.  The team is dealing with a tremendous amount of injured players right now and there are many questions ahead of today’s morning skate at 10:30 am.  The Jets pre-game report will set you up as the team prepares to kick off the first of six games at Bell MTS Place with a 7 pm puck drop against the Blackhawks. Stay tuned throughout the day for any and all Jets news and updates via Twitter | Facebook | Instagram.

Note II:  The Moose improved to a 37-17-4-4 record with the 6-3 win over the Stars last night which includes an impressive 22-6-2-2 record on the road. They now have a seven point lead on Chicago for top spot in the Central. The team is is scheduled to practice at 9:30 am at Northwoods Ice Center in San Antonio.  Their next game is in San Antonio on Friday night.

Winnipeg Sun:  Embrace the chase for second place with home-ice still in sights for JetsWhile you’d like to be the master of your own destiny sometimes outside help doesn’t hurt and Tuesday night when the Jets lost to the Preds both teams chasing the Jets in the Wild and Stars also lost in regulation.  Winnipeg still holds a seven point lead on Minnesota and ten points on Colorado (1 game in hand) and DallasProvided the Jets can get some reinforcements this six-games at home could serve them well in ensuring they will start the playoffs at the friendly confines of Bell MTS Place.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets road trip good for points, bad for body count.  (Paywall).  The team was able to continue adding to the points banks although as I illustrated yesterday the folks headed to the infirmary also climbed.

Sportsnet:  Stastny fitting in seamlessly with high-octane JetsWithout a complete roster his impact since he was acquired has been significant.
