Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  Following last night’s 5-2 loss to the Blues the Jets are scheduled to take to the ice for a practice at 12 noon as they prepare for an afternoon game here on Sunday against the New York Rangers.

Note II:  The Moose played their eighth game last night in Cleveland and beat the Monsters 4-2. Improve to 6-1-0-1 on this nine game road trip. Finish things off on Sunday with a re-match with the Monsters.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets fall flat in loss to division rival.  A rare regulation home loss for the Jets who hadn’t lost in 60 minutes since a 5-1 loss to the Hawks back on December 14th.  Ken breaks it all down.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets can’t get off runway. (Paywall).  It was a tough loss to their division rival.  Jake Allen made 20 saves to pick up his first win since December 23rd.  Mike recaps all the action from Bell MTS Place.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ would-be Olympians disappointed NHL took a pass on Games. (Paywall).  No doubt it has to hurt watching what could be over in South Korea.
