Note: The Jets play their final road game for almost one month with ten straight at Bell MTS Place after tonight’s game in Anaheim against the Ducks. We already know that Connor Hellebucyk will get the start in net for Winnipeg and that Tobias Enstrom is probable and Dmitry Kulikov is possible although the team also recalled Tucker Poolman from the Moose for added insurance and placed Shawn Matthias on IR retroactive to January 12th. Morning skate is at 11:30 am PST (1:30 pm CST) and the Winnipeg Jets pre-game report will have you up to date. You can also stay tuned via Twitter | Facebook | Instagram. Puck drop is at 9 pm CST.
Note II: The Moose played in Belleville last night against the Senators and they continued to show off their road warrior bonafides with a big 4-1 win after having lost four of their last five games. Manitoba is now 15-4-1 in 20 road games this season and have points in nine straight road games (8-0-1). Darren Kramer scored his first of the season, captain Patrice Cormier added three assists while Nic Petan had a goal/assist and newly selected All-Star Mason Appleton added to his team scoring lead with his 13th goal of the season. They are scheduled to practice this afternoon in Laval as they prepare for a Friday/Saturday back to back against the Rocket.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Five keys to the game. Ted’s five keys include: 1) Testing the depth. 2) Tighten up. 3) Magic touch. 4) Busting out. 5) While getting’s good. His big machup is Connor Hellebuyck vs. John Gibson.
Winnipeg Sun: Maurice looks to get Jets big line going, swaps rookies Connor and Roslovic. The Jets bench boss is looking to get his top line generating so he is making a 2015 1st rounder swap.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets coach has little use for all-star break or his players playing in game. If the Jets can win tonight it will be their fourth straight victory and I understand why the Jets coach wouldn’t want to cut off his team’s momentum but at same time it will give his team a bit more time to heal up.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jack Roslovic’s time to shine with Jets has arrived. The Jets second 1st rounder in 2015 continues to look better and better as he gets more time up with the big club and will have quite the opportunity to play with the top line tonight in Anaheim.
