Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  The Jets will face the Sabres (who got pounded last night by the Wild 6-2) tonight at Bell MTS Place with a 7 pm puck drop.  The team is scheduled to hit the ice for morning skate at 10:30 am.  The Winnipeg Jets pre-game report will have you up to date when the players hit the ice. As soon as illegalcurve.com is updated we notify you via Twitter | Facebook | Instagram.

Note II:  The Moose are in Chicago to take on the Wolves in the first of two back-to-back games on the road.  They have a morning skate at 11:15 am at Allstate Arena.  Puck drop is at 7 pm as Manitoba looks to maintain their sizable lead in the central division (and first overall in the AHL).

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets Gameday vs. Sabres.  Paul’s big matchup is Stopping Kane, Eichel. His keys to the game include: 1) Life without Scheif. 2) Help for the captain. 3) The right mindset. 4) On ’em early. 5) The goalies.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets answering critics, a half season at a time.  This team isn’t about to pat themselves on the back for where they have gotten to at this point in the year as they know there is still plenty of season left to go.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets thrilled for Slater, still rue NHL decision on Olympics.  Not a surprise that the Jets players are happy for their former mate but it is clear that they aren’t happy with the way that the NHL handled this situation.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Enstrom’s return will bolster blue line.  (Paywall).  He had shed the non-contact uniform yesterday and gives the Jets even more options on the backend.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Scheifele’s absence creates opportunities for players to branch out.  (Paywall).  Always good to diversify yourself so you can handle situations like when you are missing Mark Scheifele.
