Note:  The Jets will welcome Vegas to town as the newest NHL franchise hits the Peg’ for the first time ever.   The Golden Knights played last night in St. Paul and fell to the Jets central division rival Wild 4-2.  Winnipeg is coming off a 3-2 OT loss in Colorado on Wednesday night.  Big question in advance of today’s morning skate is will coach Maurice continue to ride Connor Hellebuyck or will he throw Eric Comrie between the pipes?  Update:  Connor Hellebuyck will make his third straight start for the Jets tonight as coach Maurice sticks with the same lineup.  Check out the Winnipeg Jets pre-game report.

Note II:  The hottest team in the AHL right now plays in the Bell MTS Place as the Manitoba Moose demolished the Cleveland Monsters by a 7-1 score last night to pick up their eighth straight win.  Michael Hutchinson has been rock solid for Manitoba and as it evident from the scoresheet the entire team contributed.  The top line continues to produce with Appleton (1G 2A), Petan (3A) and Roslovic (2A) leading the way and Roslovic is now tied for 2nd in AHL scoring while Appleton is tied for 4th (and 2nd in rookie scoring).
