Jets news:

The Athletic: Steve Mason plans to provide the steady goaltending Jets need to take the next step. (Paywall).  Always enjoy seeing some new writing from the talented Eric Duhatschek.  This time he tackles the Jets newest goalie.

Sportsnet:  Winnipeg Jets Prospect Report: The electrifying potential of Kyle Connor.  Connor gets the top rank for Jets prospects as he gives an assessment of the best eight prospects in the Jets system.

Winnipeg Sun:  What else can you do, asks Jets coach?  Plenty on the line for a number of players tonight as the bubble boys get a last chance to make an impression on their coach.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Petan gets chance to shine playing on Jets’ top line.  (Paywall).  One player a lot of folks have been watching is Nic Petan and he has really seemed to thrive during the pre season.

The Athletic:  Can Patrik Laine keep converting on his shots at a superhuman rate?  (Paywall).  From what we have seen so far from the Finnish sniper it seems like we will only be seeing improvement in his sophomore season.  Although the shot rate could be difficult to maintain.  Murat Ates has more in this piece.

Toronto Star:  5 NHL goalies under pressure to perform.  The Jets netminder comes in at number two on this list.
