Jets news:

NHL:  Sgarbossa ready, excited for Jets debut.  Jets insider Jamie Thomas catches up with forward and gives you some insight into the player as he gets ready for his first game with his new club.

CBC: Winnipeg fan sends jersey on 31-city tour to honour buddy.  A nice gesture to honour a friend’s memory.

Winnipeg Sun: Byfuglien looks for happy medium.  With a healthy six defence, especially of the calibre the Jets can roll out, it will afford them the opportunity to even out the playing time which would have a long term benefit for players like #33.

Winnipeg Sun:  Evaluation period ramping up for Jets.  There are a number of players who will be fighting for a limited number of spots in the Jets bottom six.  Should make for some interesting battles the next week or two.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Byfuglien dishes on upcoming season.  (Paywall).  Plenty from the big man as the Jets get ready for a big season ahead.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Armia wants to revive Jets’ penalty-kill.  (Paywall).  While the greater hope should be a more disciplined team who takes less penalties, having able bodied defenders is a good option for the Jets bench boss.  Jason also wrote about Tucker Poolman and tonight’s game against the Wild.
