Winnipeg Sun:  Appleton couldn’t pass up pro opportunity.  Having been named as the Michigan State Spartans captain for this upcoming season I was surprised when the news broke that he would be coming to Winnipeg instead of East Lansing this season.

Winnipeg Sun:  Harkins ready for prime time.  A very intensely focused young man who is really set on his game reaching that next level.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets prospects schooled by Vancouver’s up-and-comers.  (Paywall).  Time to panic?  

Winnipeg Free Press:  Comrie ready to take next step.  (Paywall).  Count me as someone who sees his best option as another season in the AHL.  

Winnipeg Free Press:  Bigger, stronger Kyle Connor wants to stick — and stay — with Jets this season.  (Paywall).  I watched every AHL game he played (at home) last season and can tell you the jump in his play during the second half was incredible.  I wouldn’t be surprised if he stays up with Winnipeg this season.
