Washington Post:  Will the Capitals win the Southeast Division?  Appears the thinking is this is a three way race between the Capitals, Panthers and Jets.  Have to agree that 2nd in division won’t be enough for a playoff spot so it looks like it will be 1st or bust for what Greenberg calls the Southleast.

Regina Leader-Post:  Pats honour Rypien.  Nice to see that the Pats, after consultation with the Rypien family are moving ahead with this evening and turning it into a fundraising opportunity.

Illegal Curve:  Evaluating Evander Kane’s fair market value later today (and Part 2).  Richard takes a long look at Evander Kane and evaluates what the Jets might expect to pay for his services.

Artvoice:  Promises kept – visit to Winnipeg.  Came across this story late yesterday and thought it was worth sharing again this morning.  Much like our story about the two Sharks fans who came to the Peg‘ to see San Jose take on the Jets, these two enterprising Sabres fans came down to Winnipeg last week to fulfill a promise made years earlier, to see Buffalo take on Winnipeg.

Philadelphia Inquirer:  Giroux, Timonen go early in all-star fantasy draft.  The Flyers will have 3 players representing their team at this year’s all-star game, 2 on Team Alfredsson and 1 on Team Chara.

NHL.com:  Savouring my All-Star experience.  Perhaps he is making Jets fan wonder what could have been as Sean Couturier, the player many expected Winnipeg to take in the 2011 Entry Draft, is having a good enough season that he was selected to play in the rookie game.
