Jets news:

Illegal Curve:  Jets do not sign Matteo Gennaro or Marcus Karlstrom. The team had until 5 pm ET yesterday to get these two prospects signed but they chose to pass.

Illegal Curve:  Jets agree to terms with 2015 4th rounder Michael Spacek.  While the team passed on two of their drafted prospects they did secure the services of this Czech prospect for three years.

TSN:  Having to protect strong defence could expose Jets’ forwards.  (video).  The Jets may be forced to protect more than three defenceman which will expose more of their forwards. Gino Reda and Craig Button take a closer look at the tough decisions Winnipeg will have to make ahead of the expansion draft.
