Breaking News:  And I mean I expect twitter to break but the Jets have recalled Ondrej Pavelec back to the big club.  You can listen to Pavelec’s comments about a potential recall following the Moose win on Sunday.

Note:  The Jets returned home having lost all three games on this road trip (once was in OT) including yesterday’s matinee in San Jose and have lost four straight overall.  They will practice today at the MTS Centre as they gear up for a clash with the Desert Dogs tomorrow night.  It is the first of four games they will play here over the next seven days.

Note II:  The Moose leave today for Texas as they get ready to play six games on the road.

TSN:  Jets had no choice but to call up Pavelec.  (Video).  TSN Senior Correspondent Gary Lawless joins Sara Orlesky to talk about why Michael Hutchinson and Connor Hellebuyck play forced the Jets to call up Ondrej Pavelec and discusses how the three goaltender system will work for Winnipeg moving forward.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Jets goaltending plan shaky from start.  (Audio).  Former NHL goalie Trevor Kidd joined the Big Show in the wake of Ondrej Pavelec being recalled by the Jets to touch on the goaltending situation in Winnipeg and why the risk of using two young goalies didn’t pay off for management.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets searching for answers after humbling loss to Sharks.  Ted using the “So you’re saying there’s a chance” line was nicely done.  Lots of questions remain for this squad following that game yesterday and that roach trip in general.  I’m not sure the name Ondrej Pavelec has been uttered so many times as it must have been in the last week.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Digging a deeper hole in Jetsville.  (Paywall).  Paul writes about how the Jets are falling further out of playoffs and that the team seems long on questions, short on answers.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Sharks pounce on the scent of blood from flailing Jets.  (Paywall).  This one seemed to be over after the 2nd period.  The Mark Stuart hit being the major turning point in this contest.  Paul recaps it here.

San Jose Mercury News:  Third line leads way in Sharks’ 5-2 win over Winnipeg Jets.  Always interesting to read about the game from a beat writer that covers the Jets competition.

TSN:  How do the Jets correct their ways?  (Video).  Having lost four straight and five of their last six games, the Jets have hit a slump and That’s Hockey discusses what they need to do to fix their issues to avoid slipping further.

Sportsnet:  Does Paul Maurice make his goalies worse than they actually are You’d think that the headline would read somewhat differently based on the conclusion reached but an interesting read nonetheless.

Illegal Curve:  Patrik Laine named The Hockey Player Of The Year 2016 in Finland.  About the only ray of sunshine for the Jets organization yesterday.

Game 47: Sharks 5 Jets 2
