Jets news:
Winnipeg Sun: Jets rally to claw win from Panthers. Here is Ken’s breakdown of the contest. He also touches on his three stars and Jagr closing in on history.
Winnipeg Sun: Ehlers dazzles despite not scoring. The sophomore winger was simply spectacular last night. He was a whirling dervish with the puck and as Ted suggests in his article he did everything but score but it wasn’t for lack of effort.
Winnipeg Free Press: Creaky Jets eke out victory. (Paywall). It was a win by the skin of their teeth as Bryan Little tied it up in a shootout with the game on the line. Mike has more from the MTS Centre.
Sun-Sentinel: Panthers score three power-play goals in second, but lose to Jets in shootout. Always interesting to read what a beat writer who covers the Jets opposition had to say about the game.
TSN: Laine bounces back against Panthers. (Video). Coming off of the worst moment of his young career, Patrik Laine had an impressive outing against Florida, notching an assist, having four shots and a plus-two rating. TH2N breaks down his game.
TSN: Laine’s shot similar to some of NHL’s best snipers. Those are some serious names on the list of comparables to the Jets rookie.
ESPN: Ranking the NHL’s eight top-pairing rookies. (Paywall). Josh Morrissey makes an appearance on this list.
CBC: Winnipeg pro sports franchises in line for $15.2M score in 2017. Not a bad way to earn some extra money.
Illegal Curve: Nic Petan injury update. Coach Maurice provided an update on the status of the young forward.
