Note:  The Jets and Predators get underway at 12 noon with a schedule modification due to the Grey Cup game later on today in Toronto.   Keep it locked to illegalcurve.com for pre and post game and on social media including via Twitter | Facebook | Instagram.

Note II:  Following their 4-3 OT win over the Admirals last night, the Moose cruised 92 miles south on the I94E from Milwaukee to Chicago where they will take on the Wolves today.  We should probably expect to see Ondrej Pavelec after Eric Comrie has handled that last five straight games (technically Pavelec was supposed to play last Saturday night but the game was postponed).  Puck drops at 4 pm.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets have plenty to work on.  When the team loses five straight games it is time to roll up your sleeves and work on figuring a way out of the mire.

Winnipeg Sun:  Five keys to Jets vs. Predators.  Ken’s keys include 1)  Home sweet home? 2) Discipline issues resurface. 3) Penalty killing woes. 4) Time to tighten things up.  5)  Predators missing key pieces.  Ken’s key matchup is Mark Scheifele vs Mike Fisher.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets captain optimistic team will rebound for tough Predator team.  (Paywall).  Having listened to Blake Wheeler’s post-game comments I really didn’t hear any defeat from the Jets captain.  He actually sounded optimistic that the team would get things turned around.

Illegal Curve:  Jets recall Julian Melchiori.  We don’t know if this is because of Enstrom or a potentially banged up Jets defenceman or maybe coach Maurice wants to change things up.  We will have a better idea just before warm-up skate.

Sportsnet:  6 Things We Learned in the NHL: Winnipeg Woes.  As you can guess the Jets are on this list but it is anything but positive.

Moose news:

Official Manitoba site:  Moose 4 at Milwaukee 3 OT.  Recap includes video highlights, goal breakdown, quick hits and more.
