Note: The Jets returned home after they concluded their three game road trip in NYC with a 5-2 loss to the Rangers. They will have a day off today as they get ready to face central division rival Dallas tomorrow at the MTS Centre.
Note II: The Manitoba Moose are riding a four game win streak and like their parent club are taking today off. They return to the ice tomorrow for a practice before heading on the road to California on Wednesday.
Breaking News: Jets announce they have signed Jacob Trouba to a two year deal. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff spoke today and you can hear his entire 18 minute chat here. He may or may not be available tomorrow but regardless, I will be down at the MTS Centre covering the game day skate and will have all the latest for illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter|Facebook |Instagram for all the pre and post game news.

Today’s Slapshot: Elliotte Friedman on Trouba: ‘I don’t think he’s getting traded right away’. Chris transcribes a chat that Friedman had on Toronto’s Sportsnet 590 about the Trouba situation.
Sportsnet: Will the Winnipeg Jets now trade newly signed Jacob Trouba? The ink isn’t even dry on the contract (presuming they used a quill and parchment) and there is already talk of dealing the defenceman.
TSN 1290 Winnipeg: Donvito Roundtable. (Audio). MSG Analyst Steve Valiquette spoke to Rick Ralph about the goals the Rangers scored on Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck on Sunday night.
TSN: That’s Hockey 2 Nite. (Video). The guys take a closer look at the Jets’ goaltending struggles and discusses if Kevin Cheveldayoff should trade Jacob Trouba before December 1st to help his team this season.
Winnipeg Sun: Loss to Rangers highlights Jets goaltending woes. Neither Hutchinson nor Hellebuyck has stood up when provided the opportunity to become that #1 guy and seize the title. You can say that the Jets defence hasn’t exactly been stellar but the fact is these guys are letting in goals they probably shouldn’t be at this level.
Winnipeg Sun: What does Laine do on Saturday night in New York? Playstation, of course. You’re young, you’re loaded and you’re in NYC so it totally makes sense to chill in your room and play Playstation….say what? While some may want to question the rookies decision making he does have eight goals in 13 games and it tied for the NHL lead in goals (and sits tied for second in rookie points).
Winnipeg Free Press: PlayStation Jets have bright future. (Paywall). While the Jets tried to use that all too familiar third period comeback to no avail yesterday Paul writes that it isn’t time to panic for fans of this team.
New York Times: Four hot minutes give Rangers a fifth straight win. Small lapses in focus can have major consequences on the result as the Jets learned yesterday.
Illegal Curve: Ever wondered how Jets centre Mark Scheifele spends a game day? A quick look at #55 on the road and how he passes the time during a game day.
