Note:  The Jets look to finish off their three game road trip in NYC with a big win as they take on the Rangers at 6 pm.  It will be a tall task as they look to knock off the top scoring team in the Eastern Conference.  New York did play (and won 5-2) last night in Boston.

Note II:  The Moose hit the ice at 12 noon at the IcePlex as they get ready for a few days of practice before heading out on the road for five games in eight days in California and Arizona.  The team is riding high as they won their fourth game in a row last night sweeping the defending AHL champions.

Jets news:

Ottawa Sun:  Insider Trading – Clock ticking for Jacob Trouba, Jets.  Garrioch’s Sunday column is always a good read and today he starts off with some Jets and Trouba talk.

Sportsnet:  Jets could still sign Jacob Trouba to trade him.  Sign on the dotted line and goodbye.  Lots of scenarios for the young gun but time is running out as there is less than one month to figure this out.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets are an enigma, but you can’t knock their hustle.  Everything you think you know about the Jets toss out the window.

Illegal Curve:  Saturday Headlines – Armia, Trouba and Burmistrov talk.  Doesn’t seem like we can go a Saturday without the Jets being mentioned.

NY Daily News:  Rangers’ high-scoring attack continues in 5-2 win over Bruins.  Read about the Jets opposition from a beat writer who covers the team.

Detroit Free Press:  Former U-M standout, Winnipeg’s Kyle Connor plays well in trip home.  If it wasn’t for his quick stick work in the 3rd period Tatar taps it in to give Wings  late 3rd period 4-3 lead.  Points on the board isn’t the only impact for a player and Connor certainly showed that this past Friday.

Moose news:

Illegal Curve:  Moose sweep the Monsters out of town with 5-2 win.  Lines, goals, three stars & post-game audio (Lemieux, Lipon & Coach).

Winnipeg Free Press:  Mighty Moose not scared by Monsters.  (Paywall).  Mike recaps the game that took place at the MTS Centre last night.
