Note: Stay tuned to IC as we will have audio following Jets practice today.
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets’ license plates on sale today. I wouldn’t want to be working at Autopac today as the day has finally arrived that fans can purchase their Winnipeg Jets license plates. If you need more info read our handy FAQ.
Winnipeg Sun: No place like home for Jets. There is no question that this team has a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (home vs. away) personality but if they are striving to be a playoff calibre team, then they have to become road warriors. One of the best teams on the road this season will be at the MTS Centre on Tuesday night as the Wild are riding a 7 game road winning streak.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets to face Wild wallop. The Wild are the class of the NHL and we will see what the Jets are made of when they, once again, face a tough Tuesday night opponent.
Winnipeg Free Press: Scheifele wants to be Canada’s top center at WJC. The 7th overall pick by the Jets has been lighting it up in the OHL for the Barrie Colts, currently with 13 goals and 23 assists in 19 games. He is determined to be Canada’s #1 centre for the tournament.
Rapid Fire – Mark Stuart:
Next opponent news – Minnesota Wild:
Pioneer Press: Offseason acquisition Mike Lundin a key player in Wild’s win streak. Minnesota Wild have certainly shown they aren’t a ‘name brand’ team, not that this has hurt them this season. Lundin is another one of those solid, non-flashy type players who has quietly gone about his business this season. Also briefly touches on the Minnesota/Winnipeg rivalry of old in the article.
Houston Chronicle: Get to know an Aero – Cody Almond. An Aero no longer, as a rash of injuries has led to his being called up to the parent club. The Calgary product and three other members of the Aero’s (Casey Wellman, Jeff Taffe [reassigned back to Houston], Matt Hackett) are all playing with the Wild during their streak, which makes it all the more remarkable.
