Note:  The Jets have had a few days to get ready for the first of two games they will play in Alberta today and tomorrow.  Tonight Winnipeg will visit Edmonton to take on an Oilers team that has lost their last three games.  Puck drops at 8 pm.   We will be covering the game and as always stay tuned to illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter| Facebook | Instagram for pre and post game news.

Note II:  The Moose take on the Wolves tonight in Chicago at 7 pm.  It is their final contest before they take off for their Christmas break.  Manitoba returns to action on December 31st in a New Years Eve quasi matinee (4 pm) contest with the Iowa Wild.  They actually play four series at home to end 2015 and start 2016.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets need some wins heading into Christmas break.  (Paywall).  They haven’t exactly been road warriors this season going just 6-10-1 away from the friendly confines of the MTS Centre.  This is just one area that needs improvement as this squad tries to right the ship and get back on course for the playoffs.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets need to be wary of the Oilers and Flames.  Truth is the Jets are not exactly in any position to take any team in the NHL lightly.
