Winnipeg Free Press:  A well-rested Pavelec appears to play better than workhorse Pavelec.  (Paywall). He has been lights out this season.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets coach Paul Maurice can identify with Lightning’s Jon Cooper.  After a short summer due to reaching the Cup finals, coach Maurice talks about how hard it is to get ready quickly to start another season.

Moose news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Hapless Moose come up empty, again. (Paywall).  You knew they were in trouble when they didn’t record a shot until there was five minutes to go in the 2nd period.

Winnipeg Sun:  Moose lose to Lake Erie Monsters.  Armia was certainly a bright spot of offence for this Manitoba team last night.
