Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  Game two of the four game home stand goes tonight at the MTS Centre at 6:30 pm as the Jets take on a Blackhawks team that have dropped their past two games.  They lost 5-2 against the Blue Jackets on Friday night but are still 6-3-1 in the past ten games.  As always keep it locked to @illegalcurve for the latest Jets news updates.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Sure things: Death, taxes and Pavelec in the pipes.  Does anything about this NHL season make sense?  If anyone would have see this storyline at the start of the season then you may have a job a a seer.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Chaotic start to Copp’s career.  Another U of Michigan Wolverines alum in the room as he joins his good friend Jacob Trouba up with the big club following the conclusion of his college playing days.  Wonder if Jim Slater may ask for Cheveldayoff to bring in another Sparty to balance things out.  Quite a situation to go from campus to the pros in such a short period of time.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Perreault could be in Jets lineup against Chicago.  Wouldn’t fans be excited to see #85 in the lineup if he is able to play tonight.

Winnipeg Sun:  Decision time for the Jets.  Paul writes about the big decisions that coach Maurice is probably happy to have to start making again as he tinkers with his lineup to get healthy bodies back into action.  He also writes about the decision to start Pavelec against a Hawks team he traditionally hasn’t played well against.

Sportsnet:  The damage a fight and puck to face will leave.  Quite the night on Friday for the Jets prospect.
