Note: The Jets have just two game left on the schedule before the All-Star break. First up they take on the Arizona Coyotes tonight at the MTS Centre at 6pm. The Desert Dogs played last night, and lost, in St. Paul.
Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets turn up voltage on power play. Clearly putting the special back in special teams.
Winnipeg Sun: Blake Wheeler reflects on 500 games. Jets fans like what the Minnesota native brings to the table each and every game.
Winnipeg Sun: Carcillo offered in-person hearing for cross-check on Jets’ Perreault. When you read how Carcillo reflects on his action you think he may have been better served choosing to say nothing at all.
Comcast Chicago: Carcillo calls hit on Jets’ Perreault ‘a hockey play’. Despite his comments you can expect the repeat offender to see some press box time as a result of his actions.
Illegal Curve: Perreault doesn’t have a fracture, will miss some games. While the Jets won’t confirm the news until coach Maurice speaks to the media following today’s skate, news broke (no pun intended) that Perreault did not have a fracture but would miss some time with an injury.
Sportsnet: Jets thriving under Paul Maurice. Considering they have 13 more points than they did last year at this time that would be a fair statement. Largely it is because they coach has been able to get this team to buy into his message.
CBC: Coach’s Corner (video). Don tells Ron and the rest of the hockey watching world what he thought about the Jets before the season and his thoughts on why this team will make the playoffs.
Coyotes news:
Arizona Republic: Wild goalie Dubnyk shines in win over Coyotes. Has to be an odd feeling for a team to have to face off against a goalie who was just on your team.
